The McCrea's strategically disciple Colombian communities by empowering and training local churches and national missionaries, while also reaching out to children at risk, within various cities throughout Colombia.
They help churches and leaders expand their thinking and horizons, bringing them new ideas to aid in their growth. They also help them with resources that will expand their churches, train their people, and allow them to plant new congregations.
A key part of their ministry is building churches, children’s homes, and schools in underserved communities in Columbia.
Our church has sent several teams over the past few years to help with ministry and construction, as well helped provide funding for land purchases and construction costs.
They both work with various children’s ministries, with Patty specially focusing on children at risk. With decades of experience teaching children on the streets and other children with learning difficulties, she comes alongside each child, to respond to their individual needs, while also training volunteers to work closely with them.
Prayer Focus
- For God to help their partner pastors to continue to bring the gospel to a country, wide open to the harvest.
- For God to help Darren and Patty with their church building projects.
- For God to strengthen and guide their boys as they are now in university and help Darren and Patty adjust to being empty nesters.
