Spiritual Lessons Learned by Following in the Footsteps of Historic Christian Pilgrims. The concept of pilgrimage is sewn into the scriptures and the history of the Christian Church, right up to our time. Over the past 7 years, Ruth and I have walked some of the traditional pilgrim routes in Europe, that feed into Santiago, Spain. The traditional Way of Saint James continues to be extremely popular with Christians the world over. From our experiences, we have developed many new understandings of how God interacts with each of us and builds new connections to Him and to His work on earth, which we hope to share with the group. This study will meet weekly and continue, following a break in January/February, when we will be away. In the spring, the group will be invited to join us in a 9 week, 100-kilometre pilgrimage hike across Edmonton. Each pilgrim will complete a credential (passport) and be awarded a compostela (certificate) upon completion of the hike.
