Kathy's dream is to see God transform more lives through the Schools of Hope program in the public schools and communities of Tegucigalpa — to see more Hondurans leave poverty behind as they are transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Honduras struggles with extreme poverty, with nearly half the population living below the poverty line and more than half the country made up of children. As director of Schools of Hope, Kathy and her team minister in local public schools, teaching Bible classes and providing nutritional support, reaching over 8,500 children. She also oversees ChildCARE Plus sponsorships, helping children reach their academic goals while bringing necessities like water and sanitation into homes and schools, and mentors Hondurans to lead and expand the ministry.

Kathy served as a children's pastor in Canada for over 17 years before short-term mission trips captured her heart for missions. She has served with Schools of Hope since 2014.
