Peter and Arlene's dream is to reach Poland and Ukraine with the gospel by assisting local churches in outreach, evangelism, and leadership training.

Poland is the second-largest refugee destination in Europe, and many Ukrainian refugees are open to the gospel. Working with Polish and Ukrainian churches and serving alongside global workers Greg and Lynne Swinamer, the Paluchs have launched LIFE Centers offering counselling, prayer, haircuts, cooking lessons, and cultural lessons to refugees — centres that become churches on Sundays, where many have come to faith. They have started a preschool for Ukrainian children and help train church planters. As Canada-based workers, they travel to Europe four to five times a year, often with short-term teams.

After pastoring in Kelowna, the Paluchs served in Tanzania for 13 years from 1983. Peter earned a Master's in Christian Studies (Missions) from Regent College, directed Immanuel School of Ministry in Moscow, and led a church-planting project in Crimea. They now work in Poland and Ukraine with the 700 Miast church-planting initiative. They have two sons and three grandchildren.
